Sunrise property owners can now take advantage of countywide PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program! PACE is available in Broward County as a financing option to residential and commercial property owners for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and wind resistance improvements. This innovative program allows for repayment through a special assessment added to the property tax bill.

Examples of eligible improvements include:
  • Windows and shutters
  • Roofing
  • Air conditioning
  • Solar hot water heaters
  • And much more!

In planning improvements, an energy audit is recommended.

Each PACE Provider has program guidelines, and there are differences between the Providers administering the program in Broward County. It is up to the property owner to make the best financial decision for financing their project.

Want to learn more, or ready to scope a project? Visit the PACE Broward website for an overview of the program, and view the list of available PACE Providers. Prefer to call or email? Call Broward County Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division at 954-519-1270 or email resilience@broward.org.
