PUBLIC RECORDS CUSTODIAN

The City Clerk is the Custodian of Public Records for the City of Sunrise. Public records may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk's Office as follows:

Please note: Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.

Fees associated with the procurement of public documents may include, but are not limited to:

Single-sided pages $ .15 each
Double-sided pages $ .20 each
Oversized pages (up to 11" by 17") $ .50 each
Oversized pages (>11"x17", B&W) $ 5.00 each
Maps (24"x36") $15.00 each
Cassette Tapes/DVD/CD $1.00 each

Pursuant to Sunrise City Code Section 2-398, a deposit is required prior to records research and production if the cost of research and production is estimated at more than $20.00.

LIEN INQUIRIES

Lien searches may be conducted for public service, code enforcement, and special assessment liens on properties in Sunrise. Public service liens may also be issued by the City of Sunrise for Davie and Weston utility customers. All lien inquiries must be submitted on a Lien Inquiry Form [PDF] along with the lien search fee of $100.00 per address/account/folio. Lien searches are valid for up to 30 days.

Effective immediately, the City of Sunrise is accepting credit cards as an alternative form of payment for Lien Inquiry Form (LIF) fees. If you are interested in exercising this option, please call the City Clerk’s Office at (954) 746-3333 for details.
