City of Sunrise, FL
Home MenuAdopt-A-Street
The City of Sunrise encourages local businesses, neighbors and organizations to Adopt-A-Street to enhance the appearance of our community and beautify our roadways.
In return for “adopting” a half-mile or longer segment of a street and agreeing to pick up litter at least four times per year over a two-year period, a sign will be installed to provide your group with recognition for your commitment to stewardship.
Thank you to our 2024 Active Sunrise Groups:
- Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund
- American Express
- Broward County Professional Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc.
- East Sunrise Residents Association
- IKEA Sunrise
- In Memory of Adelaide Judy Austin and Carl Frederick Rupnow Jr
- Jyotirmaya Yoga Kendra
- Kiwanis Club of Sawgrass Sunrise
- Natalia Allen & Friends
- Take It Light, LLC
- The Thompson Family
- Westpine Middle School
In addition to providing meaningful team-building activities for your organization, adopting a street has multiple social, environmental, and economic benefits because it:
- Helps keep our streets and waterways safer and cleaner
- Helps prevent storm water pollution and keep drains unclogged
- Promotes stewardship of our community and environment
- Creates awareness for litter prevention
- Supports property values
