The Sunrise Clean Team - new in 2020 - is a litter prevention and collection program that encourages the entire community to Help Us Keep Sunrise Beautiful. 

The Sunrise Clean Team is led by a dedicated two-person crew that provides service seven days a week, monitoring rights of way – including bike lanes and bus shelters – and removing litter, animal carcasses and shopping carts. These efforts enhance the City’s appearance and promote a safe and healthy environment for residents, businesses and visitors. In addition, they help increase property values and retain and attract businesses.

Community engagement and volunteer involvement are essential to the success of the program. To inspire others to Team Up to Clean Up, the Sunrise Clean Team will participate in community clean-up events, partner with the Adopt-A-Street program, and attend civic association meetings and City events.

Look for the Sunrise Clean Team’s colorful pick-up trucks, which feature our program mascots – Captain Sunrise, Daybreak, and Sunny! Be sure to take a picture when you see the Clean Team in action and tag us when you share it: #SunriseCleanTeam and #SeenInSunrise.
