An Excess Flow Valve (EFV) is a device designed to shut off the flow of natural gas automatically in the event the gas service line is broken. EFVs do not protect against leaks beyond the meter assembly (house piping).

EFVs are not mandatory for existing natural gas service lines. However, if you are interested in having an EFV installed in your existing service line, please contact us for cost information. Price quotes for the installation, maintenance, and future replacement of the valve will be provided.
