Over 10,000+ Bottles Refilled and Counting!
Choosing to refill rather than purchasing single-use plastic bottled water is getting easier if you are out and about enjoying Sunrise Parks, or working at a City facility.
Water bottle filling stations can be found at many City of Sunrise locations including community centers, city buildings, and parks. Water filling stations not only keep you hydrated, but help save money and are environmentally friendly.
It's estimated that only 20% of plastic bottles end up being recycled (that's only 1 out of every 5 bottles sold). Filtered water bottle filling stations serve as an alternative to plastic water bottles by encouraging the use of tap water and making safe, healthy water free and accessible. Don't forget your reusable water bottle!
You can help prevent plastic pollution, take the Sunrise Pass Up Plastics Pledge.

Sunrise Utilities Helping Reduce Single-Use Plastics at City Events
At the 2023 Sunrise Earth Day Festival, we rolled out our newest initiative to provide free Quality on Tap hydration stations. Event attendees were encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and fill up to stay hydrated. You’ll likely see the Sunrise Utilities Quality on Tap station at other upcoming City events – look for the water flag!
