Request To Change Mailing Address

A Request To Change Mailing Address form may be completed and faxed to (954) 572-2479 or emailed to customerservice@sunrisefl.gov to facilitate this process.

 

Opening a Residential Account

Residents within City of Sunrise service areas who would like to open an account for water, wastewater (sewer), natural gas and/or garbage service must provide the following:

  1. The appropriate, completed application for residential properties NOT in the Indian Trace section of
    Weston:

    •  For Weston ITDD Owners with a tenant - A Third Party Billing Application must be completed.

  2. Proof of property ownership (e.g., executed settlement statement or warranty deed) or tenancy
    (e.g., lease)
  3. A clear photocopy of a driver's license or other official photo identification
  4. The appropriate service deposit(s)

Satisfaction of unpaid utility account balances for the applicant, or for other customers at the property at which service is requested, may also be required.

Residential accounts must be opened IN PERSON. Please bring the required documentation and deposit(s) to one of our three customer service locations:

  • Sunrise City Hall, 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard
  • New River Civic Center, 60 Weston Road
  • Village Civic Center, 6800 Sunset Strip

 

Opening a Commercial Account

Those wishing to open a commercial water, wastewater (sewer) and/or natural gas account with the City of Sunrise must provide the following:

  1. The appropriate, completed application for commercial properties NOT in the Indian Trace section of
    Weston:

     

    OR, for commercial properties in Indian Trace:

     

  2. Proof of commercial property ownership (e.g., executed settlement statement or warranty deed) or
    tenancy (e.g., lease)
  3. Completed Industrial Waste Questionnaire [PDF]
  4. Completed Compliance Amalgam Report for Dental Offices [PDF]
  5. Completed Cross-Connection Questionaire [PDF]
  6. A clear photocopy of a driver's license or other official photo identification
  7. All-Service Refuse application for service, if applicable 
  8. The appropriate service deposit. For commercial deposit information, please call (954) 746-3232, or
    review the City's Commercial Deposit Schedule [PDF].

Commercial accounts must be opened IN PERSON. Please bring the required documentation and deposit(s) to one of our three customer service locations:

  • Sunrise City Hall, 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard (south side of building; drive-thru access)
  • New River Civic Center, 60 Weston Road
  • Village Civic Center, 6800 Sunset Strip

To establish garbage service for a business, please contact the City's garbage hauler, Republic Company, at (954) 327-9504.
