Sunrise offers mini-bus service on dedicated routes throughout the City, medical transportation to eligible residents, and a 100% electric on-demand ride service within the Sunrise Business & Entertainment District. These services are free.
Mini-bus Service
Sunrise mini-buses operate on a regular schedule, picking up passengers in residential areas and transporting them to and from a variety of destinations - including shopping centers, libraries, the Senior Center and Sawgrass Mills. These buses are equipped with handicapped lifts and wheelchair stations. Route maps appear below:

Medical Transportation
Some seniors may qualify for the Center's medical transportation program. In order to meet eligibility criteria, individuals should be:
- Sunrise residents
- 62 years of age or older, or physically disabled and qualified by the City of Sunrise social worker
- No longer able to drive, or to maintain a vehicle in their immediate household

100% Electric On-Demand Ride Service in the Business & Entertainment District
Residents, workers, and visitors are welcome to use our free on-demand transportation service that picks up and drops off riders anywhere within the Sunrise Business and Entertainment District. This service features an earth-friendly fleet of 100% electric vehicles, including three Tesla Model X cars and a large electric van, operated by Freebee and offered free of charge to all riders by the City of Sunrise and partially funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
