ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
In this captivating exhibition, the talented husband-wife duo, Bro and Ching Yi (Carlos and Jean Aleman) blend their unique artistic styles, creating a mesmerizing fusion of acrylic yarn and acrylic paint.
Inspired by the allure of the Goth subculture and the symbolism of the year of the dragon, the Alemans' work invites you to explore the darker realms of creativity. Jean's amigurumi creations, crafted with meticulous detail and a touch of whimsy, juxtapose the delicate nature of yarn with the haunting beauty of her designs. Carlos' paintings, rich in color and emotion, add depth and contrast to the exhibition, showcasing his mastery of the brush.
This opening reception promises to be a night of artistic discovery, where the boundaries between the macabre and the magnificent blur. Immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere, and indulge in refreshments and music. Engage with the artists, fellow art enthusiasts, and members of the local community as they celebrate the year of the Dragon and the beauty of goth.
Don't miss this opportunity to witness the Alemans' artistry and be part of a memorable evening that blends art, culture, and community. Join us on October 25, 2024, at 7 pm, for an unforgettable experience at the City of Sunrise Art Gallery.
