The Grants Division of the Finance and Administrative Services Department oversees citywide grant operations including comprehensive funding research and post-award management of various grant programs, such as:

  • Housing Assistance
  • Economic Development
  • Infrastructure Improvements
  • Disaster Recovery
The division proactively seeks and secures federal, state, and local-level funding opportunities that advance various City initiatives and improvement projects. Grants works with using departments to ensure the success of each grant project and supports the departments through various resources and roles. The division is responsible for day-to-day administration, including financial and programmatic reporting; internal tracking of eligible expenditures compared to budget; preparing/submitting reimbursement requests in accordance with the grant; and grant closeout. The division facilitates any requests from the funding agency, including any audits and/or on-site reviews. 

The Grants division also conducts an in-depth analysis of agreement terms and conditions as well as any statuary or regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and/or local level. The compliance review process involves the using departments to ensure citywide grant compliance.

The Grants division is crucial to City operations, as grant funding is above and beyond the limits of our operating budget and bridges the gap between the City’s resources and needs; thereby reducing the overall tax burden on our residents and ultimately paying for itself long-term.
