Overview: Oak Hammock Park features two ADA-accessible playground areas, an environmental boardwalk, nature trails, an outdoor classroom, the Live Oak Chess Patio, wood carvings by chainsaw artist Scott McAllister, and three pavilions* perfect for small family picnics.
Oak Hammock opened in 2015 - along with the nearby
Cypress Preserve Park - and was developed through a partnership with the Broward County Commission. Funding for both parks was made possible through the Broward County Land Stewardship Program, which provides for the ecological restoration of publicly-owned natural lands and the development of passive recreation parks.
* Pavilion reservations should be made through the Leisure Services Department. Please call (954) 747-4600 for rental information. An Oak Hammock Park Map is also available.
