| The Cities of Sunrise and Plantation have partnered to provide residents with opportunities to safely dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronics. Drop-off events are held on Saturdays throughout the year, and are open exclusively to residents of Sunrise and Plantation free of charge and with proof of residency. Dates and locations for 2020 are:

Additionally, Sunrise residents may dispose of HHW at Wheelabrator's Davie facility. This site will not accept explosives, biohazardous waste or business-generated
waste. Due to COVID-19, Wheelabrator is not currently accepting HHW at their Davie drop-off facility.
