The City of Sunrise is proud to be the only site in the U.S. to host the Wings for Life World Run - a global race designed to raise awareness of, and funding for, spinal cord injury research. It's not too late to register! If you're not participating, be sure to watch the race online, or on ABC's Good Morning America.
The Wings for Life World Run will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, at the BB&T Center. Drivers in the western portions of Sunrise and Plantation may experience minor delays from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. that morning. The City of Sunrise Police Department will be controlling traffic to minimize disruption.

West Oakland Park Boulevard
Hiatus Road
North Flamingo Road
West Sunrise Boulevard
Sawgrass Corporate Parkway
Entrances to Sawgrass Mills
To access the BB&T Center, take Sunrise Boulevard to NW 136th Avenue and enter at Gate 7. There will be NO access to the BB&T Center via:
Oakland Park Boulevard/Flamingo Road and NW 136th Avenue
Pat Salerno Drive (from the Sawgrass Expressway)
The Sawgrass Expressway's Oakland Park Boulevard exit will be open, but expect delays due to race-related closures.
Please view the Sunrise Police Department's Traffic Advisory Flyerfor a map of the race route. Streets will re-open in a rolling manner: Runners and walkers must be off the course by 11:00 a.m.
