ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
The artist has delved into the exploration of immigration and displacement, transcending gender, culture, and language through abstract automatism. As a Venezuelan-American citizen by naturalization, their journey from immigrant to dual-citizen has been marked by messiness, confusion, and inspiration, shaping their unique artistic perspective. The upcoming exhibition, titled "Displacement and Emplacement", showcases the artist's deep exploration of cultural complexities and emphasizes how art serves as a crucial space for immigrants seeking a sense of belonging.
Join us for the free opening reception where you can enjoy light refreshments and meet the artist.
