Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation
A team of assessors from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) will arrive December 12, 2017 to examine all aspects of the Sunrise Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services. The Sunrise Police Department has to comply with approximately 260 standards in order to receive accredited status. Many of the standards are critical to life, health and safety issues.

Medication / Prescription Drug Collection Program
Unwanted medicines should be disposed of properly, like all other household hazardous waste. Bring your over-the- counter medications, prescriptions and vitamins to the Sunrise Public Safety Building and deposit them anonymously in our drop box. View our flyer for details.

U.S. Flag Retirement Drop Box
In cooperation with the Sunrise Chapter, American Legion Post 365 and the Sunrise Police Department, a U.S. Flag Retirement Drop Box has been placed in our Public Safety Building. The box is located directly adjacent to our Records Division in the lobby. It is an honor to provide the accommodation of proper flag disposal to the community. View our flyer for details.
