Joint City Commission / Charter Review Board Meeting

ALL PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED BY VAST CONFERENCE CALLING PURSUANT TO EXECUTIVE ORDER 20-69 

The joint meeting is being called for the purpose of discussion between the Sunrise City Commission and the Charter Review Board related to the Charter Review Board Final Report recommendations. 

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based F.S.S. 286.0105. The City does not tolerate discrimination in any of its programs, services or activities; and will not exclude participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination anyone on the grounds of real or perceived race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability/handicap, religion, family or income status. 

In compliance with the ADA and F.S.S. 286.26, any individual with a disability requesting a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in a public meeting should contact the City’s ADA Coordinator at least 2 hours in advance of the scheduled emergency meeting, or as soon as you receive this notice. Any person can submit written comments or evidence or other physical evidence which he or she intends to offer into evidence during the communications media technology City Commission Meeting via email CityManager@sunrisefl.gov, or to the City Manager’s Office, 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351.

The City of Sunrise will be conducting the April 14, 2020 Joint City Commission/Charter Review Board Meeting via Vast Conference Calling. Persons interested in attending via Vast Conference Calling can join the City Commission Meeting via a telephone conference call utilizing the details below.

A phone will be set up in the Sunrise Commission Chambers located at 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351 for any interested person to utilize and attend the Joint City Commission/Charter Review Board Meeting via phone.

Under the Governor’s Executive Order 20-69, if a public meeting, hearing, or workshop is to be conducted by means of communications media technology, or if attendance may be provided by such means, the notice shall so state. The notice for public meetings, hearings, and workshops utilizing communications media technology shall state how persons interested in attending may do so and shall name locations, if any, where communications media technology facilities will be available. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to diminish the right to inspect public records under chapter 119.
