Life is a journey. Larry Baker's paintings capture moments in a quest to see what's over the mountains or down the path, occasionally stopping to take in the beauty or observe the action of the world around us.
Baker enjoyed a 42-year technical career as an architect. When he retired, he took an art class at the Sunrise Senior Center. He has since completed over 60 landscape, western-themed, and portrait paintings. Baker's inspiration comes from observation, and from photographs of sites and events around the world.
Meet the artist at our free reception and enjoy light refreshments. “The World Around Us” will be on display from September 7 through October 28.
