The City of Sunrise has initiated the development of the East Sunrise Improvements Master Plan. A Master Plan reflects a community’s long-range vision for its built environment, stimulates investment in non-residential areas, helps revitalize existing neighborhoods, and guides the appropriate use of land in order to protect the public’s health and safety and to promote general welfare. As a result, this Master Plan has a direct relationship to our citizens, whether you live, work, worship or own a business in east Sunrise.
Tonight's public workshop will include presentations from the consultants about their initial market research and other findings related to streetscapes, infrastructure and transportation, including some preliminary suggestions about the kinds of programs, improvements, and developments to be explored during the next steps of the master plan process. The public will have opportunities to respond to the findings and other ideas, ask additional questions, and provide guidance for next steps.
