Broward County Public Schools classes resume on Monday, August 21. In preparation, the Florida Department of Health in Broward County is offering free immunizations for children age 4 to 18 inside the Lauderhill Mall (1267 NW 40th Avenue, Lauderhill 33313).
Free immunizations will be available in August as follows:
- Weekdays - Monday, August 7, through Friday, August 18 - from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Thursday evenings - August 10 and 17 - from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Monday evening - August 14 - from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- The first two days of school - Monday, August 21, and Tuesday, August 22 - from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In addition, the Department of Health will host a Community Resource Fair with free immunizations (as well as prizes and giveaways) at the Lauderhill Mall on Saturday, August 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In order to be vaccinated, each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian should remember to bring the child’s immunization records.
